Natural Networking

Like the relationships and connections we foster with others, glass connections can be turbulent, temperamental, and downright difficult to manage. Using the “networking” method of flame-working, I create a 14-inch-tall sculpture.

Similarly, each bond has to be manipulated with consideration for the connections nearby to avoid shocking and breaking the glass. Like the complex social network we keep, no decision is made in a vacuum. Every choice we make influences the relationships we maintain- no matter how far removed they may seem.
